Dunki is about to join the ₹300 crore club worldwide. Red Chillies Entertainment posted a poster on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday that included the most recent box office figures. The poster said, “Embark on a worldwide romantic voyage! 283.13 crore globally for GBOC. The message that accompanied the post said, “This journey is unstoppable with your love!”
Conflict with Salaar
However, Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which debuted on the same day, presents a serious threat to Dunki. With Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran playing two friends who have turned into fierce adversaries, Prashanth Neel’s action film has shattered multiple box office records. The makers claim that in just three days, the film brought in over ₹400 crore worldwide.

The Rajkumar Hirani film experienced a notable decline of 31.10% the next day, earning ₹20.12 crore. Better luck came over the weekend thanks to positive word-of-mouth exposure; on Saturday, revenue increased by 27.29% to ₹25.61 crore. On Sunday, the numbers were considerably higher. It increased by 19.88% and amassed ₹30.7 crore. On Monday, the trend was reversed as collections dropped by 20.78% to ₹24.32 crore.

The movie’s net collection fell by 52.47% on Tuesday, when it only made ₹11.56 crore, marking the most drastic decline. Based on preliminary data, Wednesday brought in ₹10.54 crore, a slight decline of 8.82% from the day before.
Despite facing fierce competition from Prabhas’ action film Salaar, Dunki managed to earn ₹152.05 crore in just one week. The reported budget for the Bollywood film was ₹120 crore.
The film has maintained good numbers in its worldwide collection and stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Arun Grover, and Boman Irani in important parts. In just five days, its overseas earnings surpassed ₹100 crore.

As anticipated, in just six days, Dunki has amassed around ₹300 crore. In 2023, the film has already made it into the Bollywood top-grossers club. It is now the eighth-biggest film of the year, surpassing both Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (₹223 crore) and OMG 2 (₹221.75 crore).
Based on current trends, The Kerala Story (₹302 crore) is expected to lose ground to SRK’s film after the seventh day, taking the seventh position. The international numbers arrive late at night.
